new personal

Not a ton of excitement for me this month. Mostly I’ve been focusing on school. My semester has FINALLY ended, thank the heavens, but I still have some stuff due next month. Finals SUCKED, but here’s to hoping I pass all my classes haha!

I started my summer internship with studybreaks.com–so far, I love writing for this website. It’s been a really great learning experience.

I also signed up for my grad school classes. Wild!!

That’s it, I think? Like I said, not a particularly exciting month. But I only have one more month in Austria now! Ahhh. My friends have already started leaving, which is sad and weird. We had our “last supper” together and reminisced on our time in Graz together. I’ll miss them, but we’ve had some incredible experiences.

new books and blog

I definitely struggled with the dreaded slump this month, but it’s fine. I’m working through it.

other fun stuff

MUSIC

Recently, I’ve been really emotional about how much I love music and I’ve found so many new songs that I adore!!

Hippo Campus released a new single called “Passenger” and I’m obsessed with it, so I’ve had that on repeat for a while now.

I’ve also become obsessed with the song “Carnivore” by Bear Attack!

TELEVISION

BoJack Horseman

I did not expect to love this show so much!! I thought it looked so stupid but the second I started watching, I was hooked. This is an extremely underrated adult animated series. The characters are incredibly complex and the show delves into really tough issues.

Rick and Morty

This is definitely a fun series! I can’t wait for more episodes.

Queer Eye (Season 2)

I love this show with all my heart. It is so positive and encouraging and it’s just absolutely beautiful. Check out the article I wrote: 5 Important Messages from Queer Eye Season 2

Please Like Me (Rewatch)

I’m obsessed with this show and I really just need more people to watch it and love it.

The Vampire Diaries (Rewatch)

Very excited to rewatch this series so I can watch the last 2 seasons I haven’t seen yet. I was OBSESSED with this show back in high school and my rewatch has sucked me right back in. It’s so good an addicting.

bookstagram

I’ve started being active on my Instagram account again and I love it!! Make sure you give me a follow so you can stay updated on what I post.

Sunday Post #36

Sunday Post #36

new sunday post

Happy Sunday, y’all! I hope everyone had a good week. Mine wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t particularly exciting, either. I went to class and hung out with my friends and went grocery shopping lol. Livin’ that wild European life.

I’ve realized that I’ve been in a heck of a slump lately. I haven’t had the motivation to do much of anything lately. Like I could barely bring myself to get out of bed and go to the grocery store the other day. For me, slumps like this are usually a result of momentum, or lackthereof. If I let myself wallow in my own unmotivation for too long, it becomes more and more challenging to do anything, so I’ve decided I need to start making myself leave the house as often as possible and at least TRY to be productive.

I’ve already seen a positive impact on my life, so that’s good!

bookstagram.png

I’ve finally posted something new on my bookstagram account. Since arriving in Austria, I’ve been struggling a lot with bookstagram, because I really want to post stuff, but I have none of my books or props or anything to take good pictures, but I’ve decided I need to get over my insecurities and right now my photos aren’t going to be the absolute best, but I still want to connect with the community. Plus, instagram is a good platform to talk about books on a smaller scale. Rather than making a whole blog post I can just say, “Hey I’m currently reading this and it’s pretty good.”

Anyway, rant aside, here’s what I posted this week. Follow me @leftyreads.
